The Kuari Pass Trek is one of India’s most iconic Himalayan journeys, offering jaw-dropping views of towering snow-clad peaks and endless alpine meadows. Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 12,516 ft, this legendary trail — also known as the Lord Curzon Trail — combines breathtaking scenery, rich mountain culture, and a rewarding trekking experience.
Perfect for both beginners and experienced trekkers, Kuari Pass takes you through charming mountain villages, dense oak and rhododendron forests, and vast grasslands, culminating in a spectacular panorama of Nanda Devi, India’s second-highest peak.
The trail is especially popular as a winter trek and a spring meadow trek, making it one of the highest-selling treks in Uttarakhand.
How to Reach Haridwar
- By Air: Nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. Direct and connecting flights are available from major Indian cities. Taxis and buses operate regularly from Dehradun to Haridwar.
- By Train: Haridwar Junction (HW) is well connected with frequent trains from Delhi (4–5 hrs), Dehradun (1 hr), and other major cities.
- By Road: Haridwar has excellent road connectivity with Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, and Nainital. Regular buses and private taxis are available.
