Overview
The Har Ki Dun Trek is one of the most scenic and culturally rich Himalayan treks in Uttarakhand, ideal for nature lovers and first-time trekkers seeking an easy to moderate adventure.
Translated as the “Valley of Lord Mahadev”, Har Ki Dun offers a perfect blend of mythology, mountain landscapes, alpine flora, glacial rivers, and remote Himalayan villages. The trail takes you along the Tons and Supin rivers, through dense forests, expansive meadows, and breathtaking valley views.
Spanning approximately 47 km (round trip) and reaching an altitude of around 11,675 ft, this trek is best enjoyed during summer and autumn, when the valley is at its most vibrant.

- By Air: Nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun. Well connected with major Indian cities. Taxis/cabs available from Dehradun to Sankri.
- By Train: Dehradun Railway Station connects with Delhi, Amritsar, Kolkata, Chandigarh, etc. Continue by road to Sankri.
- By Bus: Regular government and private buses from Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Lucknow, and nearby cities. Early-morning buses also available to Sankri.
- By Car: Delhi to Dehradun via NH 72A / NH 7 / NH 307. Scenic drive; overnight stay recommended before heading to Sankri.
